SADO OPERA (live + DJ set) — Boris Day & Jens Dohle — are a Berlin-based queer music and art-performance band, originally from St. Petersburg, performing in Berlin since 2012. Long rooted in the city’s underground, they’re known for years of DJing, performing, and curating queer-focused nights (incl. a long-running residency at Wilde Renate).
Their sound blends classic house, garage, deep house, and disco, moving from a concert-style live show into a club-ready DJ set. Recent tracks have been played at Panorama Bar, and they’ve appeared at major festivals including Fusion, Melt, Sziget, Pop-Kultur, and The Great Escape. They’ve also been featured by outlets like Rolling Stone, BBC Music, and The Independent—and reached a wider audience when Conan O’Brien joined them onstage during his Berlin special.
